With over fifteen years of experience in the international art scene Philip Feyfer collaborates with and advises a wide range of collectors, institutions and artists. After obtaining a Masters degree at Art History at the University of Leuven followed by a Masters degree at the Arts at the University of Cambridge, through Christie’s Education in Paris.
Soon after he joined Axel Vervoordt’s team, an opportunity which allowed the exploration of the international art market. Besides in depth art historical research and contribution to several publications, he also helped in defining concepts and interiors for numerous international art fairs (TEFAF, The international art fair in NYC, the former art and antiques show in Palm Beach, Biennale des Antiquaires, BRAFA and many others) and collections for a very broad international clientele.
The built up knowledge and experience in the art market soon was applied in providing high end consultancy for many collectors. A service which later was accompanied by interior advisory. As a lead designer he developed very diverse and sometimes complex projects such as mansions, castles, yachts and penthouses. Inspiring collaborations were set up with institutions such as the auction house Christie’s (collection house sale in 2004) and museums such as Palazzo Fortuny, Pierpont Morgan, the Prince’s Drawing School, BOZAR, the MET etc. Over the years the expertise grew in the field of Modern Art (ZERO, Gutai .. ) and especially 20th century and contemporary Design. Becoming a specialist in the field, many important acquisitions and sales were generated (exlusive pieces by Le Corbusier, Mogens Lassen prototype chair, unique Brazilian 20th century design pieces, Pierre Jeanneret ministers table, early Ponti, unique Prouvé chair.. ).
As a special focus sourcing and unveiling new information in the research of important design collections, is a passion leading to several intruiging results such as the exclusive BBPR collection of Aldo Ravelli, development of a Chandigarh Pierre Jeanneret private collection in which the research was done with the university of Westminster, Private Sculpture Collection of the A.Mangiarotti estate).
The next chapter introduced itself by setting out his own course as a private advisory and interior company where all comes together in an harmonious concept allowing the client to be guided and advised in the best possible and most discrete manner.
